Man, I really almost gave this book up. Diem was killing me in the first 115 pages or so. Had no critical thinking skills. Just accepted everything she was told and let her anger consume her… I think it might be getting better though. Hope so

Both characters are very deeply flawed

Okay, I can see where people’s frustrations with her come from now, and I am starting to agree. She’s unbearable to literally everyone

I can see why people can be frustrated with Diem. She is too reckless and her anger is wild. I’m still a fan of her

I want more time with Luther and less time with Henri. Also, I want to know if it’s intentional that the King’s name is Ulther and the Prince’s name is Luther. Just switch the first two letters around in both names and it becomes the other

There is a lot of hate out there for Diem, but I really like her character so far. Compared to other FMCs I have had the pleasure of reading about, Diem’s POV might be one of my favorites. Granted, I’m not very far into the series

This might very well be a DNF for me… it’s not that I dislike the characters or anything, I’m just missing the excitement of the other books I’ve read and it feels like a drag…

I’ve never been high on coke before, nor have I been drunk at the same time, but this character’s inner monologue is exactly how I imagine being under the influence of both at the same time to be like

I’m having a hard time finding the chemistry between the two main characters. They feel very disjointed to me
