Awfully speculative but good literary references.

Logic is difficult, and admittedly not necessary for clarifying all thinking. However, it certainly is helpful for understanding some of the basics of mathematics and philosophy.

This stuff will probably seem easy to me soon... It's definitely not something you can sight read and requires critical thought and exercises to understand.

Probably one of the most frustrating things about education is that (formal) logic is not taught in schools - at least at a high school level. Logic clarifies your thinking so well and furthers any understanding of mathematics.

If you haven't read a book on logic at any point in your life, you probably should. Read carefully though.

good-- but i probably wont be able to finish it for a bit. not as good as veyne's work on antiquity, and it feels a little disjointed compared to his other stuff but oh well. still good.

hes certainly not menger but he isnt imprudent either--i just wish he would elaborate more on his own conceptions rather than criticizing the conceptions of others.

it seems like fetter and mises had the better capital theories. even menger too if it was undeveloped

Huemer is able to make himself seem personable and add humor in the book to make this a lovely read. It's as if you're having a conversation with the gem himself!

ill finish this one day... and maybe understand hayek too one day. hayek is easily the most pedantic and difficult to understand austrian economist his philosophy seems great and all but his economics are either confused or simply far too advanced for me. a mixed consensus tells me its probably between those two but i guess the latter

ill return to austrian price theory when my brain allows it

harcourt is on page 643 of 1744 of Perrine's Literature: Structure, Sound, and Sense, 10th Edition
I read like the first ~100 pages of introduction and stories, then skipped to the poetry section. The pairing of essays/informative sections and poetry (which exemplifies the concept being taught) made this very enjoyable.

Finally starting this now, the first chapter on Irregular deposits and loans was a little dense (maybe the author stuck too closely to the Spanish edition?) but extremely insightful and indepth.

Rothbard writing about medieval economic history makes me wish Rothbard was a historian an not an economist... and perhaps that he didn't eat himself to death at age 50 or however old he was.
