I typically like this series....but there was just so much boring talk about historical politics and not so much of a plot. I was bored to death and had zero desire to continue reading and finally gave myself permission to simply stop reading it.

I just could NOT get into this book. Possibly because it's so different from what I expected from this author????

I just couldn't get into this book. I tried! But I found it horribly boring. Not sure how far I actually made it before giving up -- the 30 pages is a guess.

This book was recommended by a friend. When I opened the book to start reading my first though was, "Oh, crap -- it's THAT Lucy!" I've read a few of the books prior in this series with only so-so enjoyment.

I'm sticking it out though; partly because I don't have anything else to read and partly to give it a chance.

My first impression though is a reminder of how unlikeable Lucy is sometimes. Selfish and whiny.

I don't think I can finish this book. It's just soooooo boring! Too much politics and history and wordiness. I've tried to stick with it, but I just can't.....
