i feel a deep responsibility to finish this book since i’m already halfway through, but i’m not having fun with this one :/

obsessed is an understatement. what an immaculate choice for our first book club!!!!

earlier today i thought i’d finish this book in a few days… i fear it’s looking like i need to sit on the couch and power through until i finish it

I made a goal to read more nonfiction in 2026 and I am so glad I did. Somehow in the two chapters I’ve read, this book has already resonated so deeply with me.

this is just so good. my only regret is that today has been busy and i haven’t been able to binge this book all day like i wanted to :/

okay okay okay I GET THE HYPE!!! i’ve seriously been hooked from the start. this is so great.

So I’m currently reading this book with my class, but WOW. This book is incredible. The resiliency and determination that Brian exemplifies is astounding. Even as an adult, I highly recommend you read this. AND I am so glad I get to read this with my students so we can talk about the importance of persistence and hope.

I’m currently at the “what do you mean there’s only 13% of the book left???? i don’t want it to end” stage

it’s gotten worse. i have severe secondhand embarrassment. i would stop reading but i HATE quitting on books. fingers crossed it improves.

Currently at a point in this book where I’m bored and not excited to keep reading… hopefully we can power through and make it to the end on this snowy Sunday

Okay the book is starting to get better but I’m starting to think that maybe I’m just anti Jodi Picoult??? I’m sure she is a LOVELY woman but after reading two of her books recently, I’m realizing I am simply am not a fan of her writing style. I can’t handle the constant flashbacks.

I don’t think I’ve ever said “wow this book is too detailed before”, but this book is too detailed. Finishing it because I need to see how it ends, but I feel like I’ve been reading it for years.
