I already like the vibe of this. It was published in 1997 though and the casual use of the F slur as a descriptive word was a jump scare

I had low expectations for this because I thought it would be too difficult to read without looking up every second word, but I’m actually enjoying it.
I am also 1millionpercent enjoying it more because I’m imagining Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff
