EXTREMELY high hopes for this book 🤧

alot of people dnf this book which is completely understandable. however, if you cant bring yourself to read this book, philosophy may not be an enjoyable genre for you to read. crime and punishment is by far the easiest existentialist novel to follow despite its length , dare i say, its been easier to read this novel than it was to read a 100 page camus book.

Camus took alot of inspiration from dostoyevsky in his books and rightfully so! dostoyevsky's work is timeless. intriguing and still makes one question morality.

"they deify what crushes them and find a reason to hope in what impoverishes them "

this book is the definition of wasted potential. im so sad

the author just described a side character for three pages straight 🧐🧐 why was that even necessary
