Wow.

Such an important worthy read. Really helped to switch my focus, provided some grounding, reflection, and hope in such perlious times. If only we had all adopted Indigenous ways from the beginning, let them lead us on their land, and not smothered their way...Imagine how our world would be. A lot to think about in this book and think everyone should read.

Enjoying this read

I enjoyed this book. It was quick, enjoyable, and I looked forward to reading it each time.

Tough read because such a sad sad event. Can't help but sit with how close Gerry was to being able to get herself out, and how close search and rescue teams were to finding her. This story left me thinking of her and how tragic.

Couldn't put it down even though the religious propaganda & the back and forth was a bit much at times...and Max was annoying lol

A great story, powerful yet simple.

Enjoyed this simple, coming of age love story. Was surprised, given the dark story of the author. Enjoyed learning the culture, rituals as I read.

Enjoyed, but ending a bit drawn out. Overall enjoyed this series.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. At times it seemed to drag in parts, or feel a bit too Pollyanna-ish. But I really liked the simpler times, family, friends, and small town theme presented.

A tough book. Stephen King is the most amazing writer. He can forever change thoughts on so many everyday "life" things. He puts you in the story. With that said, this was no different. I had to stop reading this at times, and step away. The violence and brutality were so real, it was overwhelming. In the end, I finished because I needed closure and to know something good was in there. King is brilliant.
