I’m reading this again but for a class. I really didn’t enjoy it the first time so I’m excited to try again and maybe understand the hype.

I’m just mad

I’m so anxious that the main character is going to leave her boyfriend for his older dead/ghost/apparition brother. But the current boyfriend might be gay and that would make me feel less bad if he isn’t alone after being dumped for older dead/ghost/apparition brother.

I’m on chapter 59 and not even halfway through.
This is my second time trying to read this and it’s painful. I loved the silliness on the first book and this one is just so frustrating. I will finish it because I’m determined and I like to be properly informed when I complain.

This genuinely sucks and not in the fun way. The guy (36 years old) keeps calling the woman (much younger) stupid, little girl, and sexualizing her. He also says (unprompted) “women belong in the kitchen” while threatening a man???? This is so disappointing.

This is awesome, total twilight knockoff 15 years late, for some reason keeps writing “af”, the girl’s parents died ONE month ago and they put her in monster high school in Alaska.
I have so many questions about monster high school: is there monster college? What are they expected to do with their degrees?
I have so much book left I hope they answer none of my questions this is what literature is all about

Not obsessed with the pacing

The use of sex, sensuality, and purity in this book is honestly disgusting. Daenerys pov particularly is so hard to read because of this. I was trying to like this book but I don’t think I can. Every page I’m genuinely anxious that another young girl or woman is going to be raped.
I get that it’s a “historical fantasy” and maybe it’s realistic for the time period but it’s still fantasy! Rewrite it!

Why do they keep calling Sam “the fat boy” we know his name!!! Please can we use it!!
