I have the feeling I will end up with a collection of book boyfriends with this one.

I've heard a great many things about this one, so I will be taking a break from T. Kingfisher (for now).

Me: I am just going to re-read the first chapter as a 'sweet treat' for my brain

me: ... or I could do a full re-read.

I gotta say, the middle part was hell to go through because it's like all chars are acting like they are a few fries short of a happy meal. Also, there better be something planned to convince me that Dalila doesn't utterly suck, because right now I feel very unkind towards her.

Needed a refresher before jumping into the sequel.

The way I instantly fell in love with emotionally-constipated badass-bitch Isako is not normal. Fonda Lee is a witch and I am under a spell. (please do it again)

Somehow this book pulled me out of my Fantasy reading slump.

Time to DNF. The prose is driving me up the wall, the PoVs are too loosly conected and the audiobook narrator is not helping at all.

The first short story was hilarious and perfect. The second one was kinda eh.

Just casually re-reading books in this series because I miss the characters. Seeing Omar as he is now after having just re-read the prequel breaks my heart.

Going for a quick re-read before I start the next book in the series.

NGL, I am a bit sad that the only POVs I am enjoying at Kaeto, Belise and Epona. Maybe the other three will improve on the later half, but right now it feels like they are 'getting ready to save the world' while Kaeto, Belise and Epona are doing the actual dirty work lol

OK...let's hope I remember the important parts of the previous book because I am going in without a re-read lol

I know not everything has to be BL, but why can't this be BL? /j
