…just this last Thursday I watched a video essay (“Why aren’t more true crime creators anti-cop” by Maggie Mae Fish) that brought up the Pinkerton Detectives. Then they came up as a nuisance in Christmas at the Women’s Hotel, which I finished on Saturday. Now here they are, one third into this book. Is this a sign? What am I supposed to do with this influx of Pinkerton content?
