OK Mady, you were totally right this is SO good. Like, a five star feeling good. It's still early, but I'm absolutely loving this.

Still about 80 pages to go but I feel confident this is going to end up my second favorite book of the year, possibly my top favorite. So. Fucking. Good.

I'm loving this, perhaps even more than the first book. Wish I had no other responsibilities so I could spend all my timing binging the rest.

Being back in an intricate fantasy world that is competently built is so refreshing, even if my tired brain is struggling a bit with comprehension 😂

This isn't a bad book by any means but it is one of those fantasies that has me desperate for a story in which the FMC's entire struggle isn't centered around the fact that she's a woman within a ruthless patriarchy. I need more FMCs with obstacles that aren't about society or men in power, and it's kinda surprising how few even come to mind. I'm tired of men, in fiction and life. This is really exacerbating that.

Time for a reread. It's been years since I did a full read of this series and tis the season for spooky reads to begin. Might as well make it one of my comfort universes.

The vast improvement in my enjoyment from Swordheart to this should be studied

Imagine being 19-20 years old and being this pretentious. Hell, even 24 years old. These kids all need to be drowned or something

Occasionally beautiful prose but honestly, I'm a little bored. Wish there was more of a focus on da Vinci as the other two POV characters don't interest me as much.
