I’m struggling to really get into it, even at about 40%. My sister says it gets better in the next book, but that the series isn’t finished yet, so I’m going to put it on hold for a while. I hate getting to the end of a book, and realizing the series is finished! 😉

I could certainly do without all the maerta details, especially in book 5. I get the why, but I’m human, all the readers are human, I don’t want all the gory details about how they cut, chew, and prepare it. That’s just a bit over the top for me. I am, however, loving Kolton and how he ties in, as well as the perfect timing that his introduction is. After the bitter events preceding him he adds a nice relief.
