I love phoebes candor and her post divorce bluntness. I love how to allows the other characters to break out of the shell they normal put themselves in around others, letting them just be true. It’s refreshing. Loving book so far.

I’m not ready for this to end. I’m usually not a fan of this author but this is definitely an enjoyable read.

I like

fantasy meets murder mystery.
Romance? Banter. Possible love triangle?
Describing fantasy books is always a challenge…
Death incarnate falling in love?? With human girl who can not only see and speak to him but also embody his powers and speak to the dead.
Very gothic fantasy vibes.
Well paced so far, easy page turner.

I’m enjoying this one much more. More action, more involvement with the gods aspect.

Good pacing of the book, not too fast or too slow. Good comfort read. Keeps you entertained but not stressed

Kate Quinn writes historical fiction like no other. And the way she writes women who keep their femininity but also makes them strong and powerful is awe inspiring.

Wow 10/10

A great twist at the end, can’t wait for the release of the concluding book.
