I don’t think I’ve come far enough to say too much, but my favourite parts in the book are definitely when Offred is describing life before and comparing it to life now - especially when she’s comparing the freedom she had when she was walking down the street (being able to be herself but not being free from whistles and harassment, to now being free from such but not being able to be herself).
