Kelton's dad says that they are all going to go to their bug out. He says that Alyssa and Garrett can't go with them but that they could stay at their house. Alyssa takes some of their water and takes it to a neighborhood meeting and starts some conflict between everyone.

After the encounter with the random guy they meet a girl named Jaqui. After meeting her Kelton offers her antibiotics. They get to Kelton's house and his dad doesn't want to but Kelton stands his ground and Jaqui got her antibiotics.

After Alyssa gets into her encounter with some random kids, Kelton comes in, holds a gun to his head and they start fighting. Kelton drops his gun and a girl named Jaqui comes in and takes over. They end up befriending her and they are now taking her to Kelton's house to help her with a wound.

Alyssa, Garrett, and Kelton make it to the beach to find no one there. They try to figure out what happened with no such luck. After that they leave and Alyssa gets into a little fight with some random kids beating up an old guy.

Alyssa's parents went to go and get water. They hadn't returned and Kelton had gone over to Alyssa's house to help her. Kelton, Alyssa, and Garrett all went to find Alyssa and Garrett's parents.

Kelton's dad gets into a fight with a neighbor who needed water for his baby. Kelton's dad wouldn't give him any and things were getting out of hand so kelton gave him some. This all causes some strife between Kelton's parents. He goes over to Alyssa's house finding out that her parents have been gone for 6 1/2 hours.

Alyssa's brother goes missing. After that She and Kelton go looking for him and find military trucks sucking water out of the high school pool.

Kelton see's Alyssa struggling and decides to help her. While helping her he finds out that the sewers are starting to back up. They start talking about solutions to the drought and Kelton seems to know nothing is really going to work but doesn't want to make every loss hope.

Mr.Burnside goes to Kelton's dad trying to see if they could ration out the water that Kelton's family has. After not having any luck he leaves. Then it goes to Alyssa and one of her best friends is leaving.

After getting the ice a kid named Kelton helps Alyssa bring in her ice. Afterwards it goes to a chapter about Kelton. Kelton talks about how his family has basically prepared for an apocalypse.

Alyssa, her brother, and uncle go to costco to get some water. When they get there there is no water. Alyssa comes up with an idea to grab ice and just melt it.

Miles had decided to let Brian go. After that Sarah came to see him and they said for now that everything was just going to be put on hold. Miles doesn't know if he can go on with Sarah knowing her brother killed his wife.

Miles has just found out that the person who killed his wife was Sarah's brother. Sarah had convinced Brian to go and confess. After he did Miles went kinda crazy and arrested him then getting into a car accident.

Miles thinks that he caught the guy who killed his wife. But in reality it isn't. He was told that someone had overheard the guy telling someone else that the same things would happen. Someone else confirmed it but Miles's boss still isn't convinced that he did it even tho Miles is.

After dinner Miles took Sarah to the tavern. While Miles was getting drinks for them, someone who is an enemy of Miles hit on Sarah. She lied about her name and was able to get him to go away. After Miles got the drinks they started playing pool.

Jonah had invited Sarah to one of his soccer games where she got to talk to Miles. Miles had decided to ask her out but chickened out and asked her about the fan he got her for her class room. A couple days later when Miles was picking up Jonah, Sarah had told her she was free on Friday and they went on a date.

Miles's son's teacher needed to have a conference with him about Jonah. When they met for the conference they realized they had some sort of attraction to each other. This stayed on both of their minds even though there was other stuff going on.

The Cullens invited everyone they knew to help them with their problem. It took some time to persuade everyone, but they all decided to help. Right now Bella is taking combat training in the off chance there is a fight.

The Volturi had found out about Renesmee, and didn't know that she was half human. They are on their way now and the Cullens are now preparing for a fight. They are calling everyone they can that'll help.

After Bella had her baby she was turned into a vampire. As a newborn vampire she as a somewhat uncontrollable thrust for humans, and Jacob has invited her father over who knows none of this.

Corey was sleeping in a cabin that her and Kyra used to stay in. One night while she was sleeping the cabin caught on fire and she almost died. She thought that the town of Lost would come and help her but they all just stood by. Corey decided that she was just going to stay in an abandoned spa.

The book starts out with Finch on the edge of a bell tower at his school. He stands there yelling things and he notices someone looking up and pointing. He thought the guy was pointing at him but actually he was pointing at a girl who was up there. Finch tries to make conversation but she doesn't respond.

Dare had found out that someone had murdered his father. After that he had decided that it was best to let Emma go. This was upsetting for Emma because she was going to accept his marriage proposal.
