Such a fascinating read so far! Reading this feels like I’m back in college and this book is a literature class I’m taking on ‘80’s and ‘90’s YA fiction. What a neat learning experience as I’m diving in to this!

It’s giving Shirley Jackson and Charlotte Perkins Gilman. This might be my third favorite book this year.

Each paragraph is tense. Each word is coated in a sense of anxiety/dread. This might be my new favorite author, y’all.

I’m trying very hard not to bust out laughing at the gym, but I’m imagining the speaker that’s translating the dolphins’ chirpings sounding like Speakonia voices (iykyk). And that’s what makes this chapter a million times funnier!!! 💀

I’m not even done reading the book and it’s already a five star read! LOVING IT!!!

As a cat lover and owner of three cats, I can already tell I’m going to ADORE this book!!! Also, Charlie is giving Ryland Grace vibes already and I am living for it.
