This book is not what I thought it would be — and that realisation hit me hard, early. Less than 100 pages in and I was already in tears. The writing is almost lyrical, the kind that settles quietly into your chest and stays there. It’s tender, aching, and unexpectedly devastating, driven more by feeling than plot. I’m reading slower now, not because I’m bored, but because I want to feel every word.
