Second reading. Two chapters in.. still the same feels!

If I can get through the first volume, I think I'll be able to finish it. Here goes nothing.

I am not sure why I picked this up but so far I am kind of into it. Reminds me of my Sisterhood of Traveling Pants days..

I wonder if I will ever finish this.. what I am not seeing that everyone else seems to love so much? (Sad face.)

The opening of this book is absolutely B R U T A L!

Beginning the series for the second time -- but this time slowly and with more attention.

Took a break for a while. To be fair, I am bored with this. However, I can appreciate the fact that this is a really good book and I want to finish it. Strange but true. Parts 5 through 8 for this week (hopefully).

This book drew me in from the very first page; still early on but I have a good feeling about this one. No idea what's it about; the first time I am reading anything by Atwood too. But sometimes you just ~know~.

Reading this after Professor John Wargo mentioned this book in one of his Environmental Politics and Law Open Yale lectures.

After a break, I've resumed this series.. and it feels like as I am reading for the first time again! Loving it so far. (And those HP references..!)

As I moved to Dubai two weeks ago, I decided to look for a book club to join (even if just online) in order to meet new people. Written Words Society Dubai had the first upcoming event with two books being discussed: Burnt Sugar and the Trees Told Me so; both by UAE-based authors. I've only just started this but looks promising!
