That second short story was boring. I was passively listening. Something about Vikings,head bindings, and a giant eel? One more and then I’m free!

So I technically finished “the black tongue” but the audiobook threw in 2 random extra 1.5 hour short stories. Might as well see it through. 3.75/5 for the main story though. Cool, dark, whimsy. I had a good time!

I’m loving this. The audiobook has background music/sounds that match what’s being described. Very immersive and offputting!

Meh. Reads like a very basic romance with no depth. Bare bones. Don’t care about the characters or their story of finding each other again. Will finish tho

Reading this makes me feel like the “Can’t help myself” sculpture. No matter how much I read, I am getting nowhere.
