Jackie is on page 18 of 352 of The Dead Husband Cookbook
So, the husband dies in 1987. The book mentions that some do question Maria’s innocence due to a few reasons, one of which was her cell didn’t ping the nearest tower to the hospital. You couldn’t trace cell phones until 1998. I’m already side eyeing this book.

1. All the names are so quirky. What happened to Brian or Jeff?
2. Naomi being uptight and bitchy to Knox after he’s done a lot for her seems weird. And correcting his language after knowing him all of 12 hours? That should have been a red flag for Knox.

Half way through the final book and I can already say that I’m deducting a star due to excessive angst.

I’ve been skimming chapters now. Ali is immature and oh so very annoying. I’m gonna keep skimming because I am interested in who the stalker is. But, this ain’t looking good for the rest of the series.

So, Logan sees a man walking out of Alisons house. This is were we find out they’ve know each other 2 whole weeks! Anyway. Now it’s assumed someone broke in and this happens: “My house is full of large men decked out in leather vests and tattoos. I freeze, eyeing each one of them up until Logan steps through the crowd.” What? Why would all those very grown men go in there before the police can investigate?

Oh, I just read this part! “Before Adam hurt me, I was naïve. I trusted blindly and I loved recklessly, with no reservations” Um, that’s not true. Remember when Alison started crying a week after meeting Logan because he didn’t immediately respond to her asking if he was her boyfriend? Spoiler alert, Ali, you still to that!

I just don’t know about this book. It’s ok thus far, I guess. But I do have some issues.
Alison is 27 and in tears because a man she’s known for a week won’t tell her he’s her boyfriend. Sorry, that’s super weird...and immature. Also, due to her dating at the beginning of the book, and what she expected those men to be like, Alison doesn’t care how you treat her if you’re hot enough.

Over half way through and I still haven’t seen the word “ninja”. That’s welcome news. I have seen a lot of “It’s nothing, it doesn’t matter, I don’t know,” though.

I know, I know, I said I was done with JLA but, vampires! Hello!

I do find it disconcerting that 12% in and Poppy just said “Before I could think about what I was doing...” oh great. Another Katy or Alex. I do what I want regardless of who gets hurt. Yay! 🙄

Ok. So we’ve found out that Olivia can’t go 3 whole weeks without sex without finding anyone attacked to a penis attractive, and that she considers her lying and manipulative ways proof that she’s a great actress. NOT that she’s a bad person too. Ok?

I want to like this series, opinions I respect like this series. Yet, I cannot stand Olivia. I’m going to continue on with the mindset that Olivia is manipulative, lies and is a know it all that’s wrong most of the time. I just wish she knew that she was just as bad if not worse than everyone she encounters.

This book couldn’t be more Jennifer Armentrout if it tried. All her trade marks are there.

Here’s a question: Since when was Mercy not able to turn coyote and back on demand? I don’t recall her ever not being able to do it at her leisure.

I’m already side eyeing this best selling book. I’m from the south and realize some of us talk with a certain type of accent. But. Are our thoughts also misspelled? Seriously. I feel like liquor in my brain would not be spelled likker if I thought about it. It would still be the proper spelling because it’s a thought. Not written word.

Geesh. This girl is super immature and annoying. Seriously. It's too much. She's gross. One would think with her life experience she'd be well beyond her 13 year old mentality. I blame the author for this, she must not know anyone who survived a life threatening illness. You don't come out the other side with a weak childlike attitude.

Eeeeeh. Thus far, I don't like UL near as much as Kulti. The heroine, ugh. Girl, only stupid people get so offended when someone calls them stupid. And a note for the narrator whom I loved so much in Kulti, no one announces the O in Opossum, or at least no one in the south does.
