Ash is one of the best characters I've ever read.

Not really a fan of Cade. Miles comforts him and stays away from sensitive subjects, then Cade goes and throws some barbs because he's in a bad mood - and never apologises.

This book is not at all what the blurb promised.

1. The MC and the LI never hated each other - they've already hooked up and are talking about a fwb type of thing?

2. They're still in the real world, and it doesn't seem like that's going to change any time soon.

I was expecting a high fantasy adventure, and this is totally not it - rn I'm wondering if I should dnf, because the writing's not all that great, either.

Pausing this. Have to read Secondhand Skin first!
