i think this is all a response to the grief she’s experiencing. She always references them, and seems to be jealous of other people who’ve lived different experiences.

gosh, she is so tortured and numb. And I feel so bad for Reva. All she needs is somebody to support her and our main character is literally incapable of doing it because of all of the numbness she feels.

I am consistently starting to feel even worse for her best friend can you even call her best friend because our narrator treats her so badly but the narrator is so deeply flawed and has such a terrible therapist. Everyone is working against her and no one is here to help her and she can’t help herself because she’s incapable of it.

The plan on sleeping is going great but the side effects of all the pills she is taking is starting to show. I feel bad for her friend because it seems like she cares about her but all our narrator can think about is how pitiful her life is and how she just wants to sleep it all away, but I feel like she forgets that she’s still gonna have to deal with this when she wakes up and she will have to wake up.

she is so miserable. It is so relatable. I used to sleep all day and all night just to get past the days because life would feel so boring and the way she speaks feels like the way my brain speaks. and I don’t think she’s said her name which kind of just speaks to how much she doesn’t feel like a real person.

I have heard such fantastic things about this book and so I have very high expectations four pages of praise so my expectations are even higher now, but I think I might enjoy this I hope.

what a twist actually I was genuinely shocked and surprised, but I don’t know. I don’t like that end and I still hate that stupid ah formatting

wow, I have to type hold on. WOW. that twist was actually nothing i was expecting. I feel like my chest started tightening the entire time I was reading chapter 82 like wow I feel like reading books that deal with grief for me is like really raw because I’m dealing with grief and so it just makes me feel a lot more emotionally, but I still don’t like the formatting.

A crazy part. Absolutely insane the twists that we are seeing and a upcoming twist that is possibly gonna happen with Cady being burnt in the fire, and not having a head injury in the water, but maybe they are their intertwine that she may be like was burned in the fire trying to save the dogs cause she loves those dogs and then she runs into the water to try and save herself? I don’t know let’s see.

A twist. Trust fund babies fight over inheritance while their dementia-ridden father who has just lost his wife, gets fed up with their antics. and their children want to burn it to the fucking ground.

part three was super long, but it gave us a lot of questions. Like why is everyone lying? Why does everyone seem ill? Why is no one telling the truth? Why is everything such a secret but then it also like reminds you that these people treat each other like coworkers and they have to be perfect all the time because they are the Sinclair‘s and part four says there’s a fire? I’m a little excited.

i’m really invested in this because I used to watch the YouTube channel when I was younger and then when all of the mistreatment came out on the Internet, I was so shocked so I have to know how Franke felt when she experienced all of this.

we are officially in part three and she is finally back on the island and I’m scared because like what happened during this accident? Why would Gat leave after she almost drowned? And how did she not drown when she remembered that she was sinking towards the bottom of the ocean? She woke up and she was on the side of the beach, who saved her?

I still do hate the way she speaks, but I do feel pity for her after this accident that she cannot remember, and it’s obviously affected her memory which sucks. I think this summer fling is… I hate a cheater and if he actually is with someone else and then started showing affection to Cadence I think he’s a terrible person.

I absolutely hate the formatting of this and I hate the way Cadence talks. It’s really annoying and pretentious and she’s supposed to be like 14 years old. It’s kind of weird why she’s speaking like she’s old money rich like I get it. She is from old money, but why is she speaking like that she should be speaking like a child.

i’ll be so real I feel like I’m being held hostage finishing this like this is honestly such trash like honestly I don’t wanna keep reading this. This is so terrible. I really just dislike this so much oh my gosh.

it was so amazing to listen to this pitiful ass man yarn for this girl, even though this girl is literally crazy and stupid and dumb and idiotic, but she’s young so you can write that off for her a little bit, but the fact that he’s saying all of these things that obviously are manipulation tactics to her he has no shame about it is so crazy

I genuinely have no clue what is going on right now like honestly I did not expect any of this and I honestly had no clue what I was signing up for, but I’m too far in so I have to finish it like what the fuck am I actually reading?

so they did it now they’re getting hotels and sneaking around and she’s calling him. Her man comparing herself to her mother, thinking that she’s better than her mother when she is exactly just like her. i’m scared how this is gonna end. I really hope that she comes to the realization that all of this is really bad and he’s taking advantage, but we’ll see.

I was hoping that he wasn’t going to be into her so she would feel delusional and it would feel realistic in the sense, but of course he’s a man and of course, he will always need to get his dih wet…

this girl hates her hair so bad she should just go bald

The main characters voice is so hard to listen to, but I guess that is the way of a high school girl but the way she speaks is so pretentious. Like for a senior she’s acting like she knows the entire world because she’s experienced some trauma and now she thinks the only person that can understand her is her professor? And don’t get me started on the author. I’m a little scared for the rest of this.

i’m still mad about the plot hole but I guess they somewhat fixed it? I’m realizing there’s probably a lot of like a little Easter eggs in this book that I’m not understanding because I never read the first one, but that’s on me but so far the plot is enjoyable, but for some reason, the main characters anxiety has like disappeared when it was a major plot point.

i’m being continuously bothered by this major plot hole in the beginning of the book. She says her name is River Picard but when they leave the “space ship“ she says her real name, but then later on she says her name is River Picard again and so it’s just tripping up my brain a little bit. It’s just like a plot hole that kind of bothers me because like everything seems so high stakes.

Also I never read the first book, so I have no clue what they’re talking about.

The MC is really annoying. I get it. It’s all different but there’s this weird hero mentality and it’s annoying to read. Also her inner dialogue is annoying as well. Just an annoying teenager ig.
