this is my favorite kind of sci-fi media in that there’s no sci-fi in it

love all this #information but the narration jumps from country to country and year to year in a seeming stream of consciousness jumble, and i have to keep going back to check which democratically elected president we’re overthrowing and which protestors are we paying…

insane and i love it

listening to the audiobook narrated by the author, which is undoubtedly the right choice, but at the cost of not being able to highlight all of the stunning lines i want to slowly absorb and remember forever :/

my audiobook has a nice violin backing track for dramatic flair 🪳

i saw a lot of people complaining about the middle of this book dragging on, but i’m liking it more and more as it goes on. the beginning a was a bit repetitive; now i feel like we’re really learning about our characters.

nothing i love more than a small cast of unsympathetic characters struggling in creative ways

i don’t think im actually ready for this but i don’t determine when i read a book — my Libby hold queue does.
