… But I haven’t really felt that from the text, it’s just the character constantly saying it. And I’m like, no, I feel nothing for you, even if you ramble about it for three pages. Like, the build up was not there. Don’t tell me how to feel.

I feel like the author is trying really hard to explain to me as the reader through the characters emotions -how I should think or feel. Like This FMC has an irritating way of arguing about EVERYTHING… EVERYTHING, and she has an absolutely terrible personality. But she’s trying to make it seem like her father made her feel this way, as not loved and forced to fit a role as princess…

I understand the desire of wanting to be with someone AFTER you survive a crisis - maybe somewhat during the event as “I don’t want to die without loving you”, but this spicy scene took way too long… *Taps on the shoulder, ma’am, your country and lives are at stake, you don’t have time to take a siesta after spicy time… Oop, too late, the big bad is loose. Now you’re running for your lives again.

This book has almost taken me a month to finish and it’s not that long. I just happen to only read 2% max before falling asleep. It’s hit the point where I’ve lost track of the story somewhat. It’s definitely dragging. It has/had potential, but I’m going to need it to pick up some

Both female and male narrator are ok, but listening to them at 1x doesn’t sound right, so I’m listening to the audiobook at 1.5x. It’s a bit better, but the story hasn’t been super interesting yet.
