Book club book so I might still finish it but she might be too pregnant for me?? Cara Bastone really is doing a fantastic job at writing a pregnant person, but just like maybe too good of a job?

Eating this up - I love that he’s supporting her in her ghost communication journey even though he doesn’t get it totally bc that’s life. *maybe* I’ll make it past 50% and actually finish this one.

Also audio book is duet-style, need I say more??? So I’ve been listening when I drive places too which has helped.

Maybe the only thing that can save me from this reading slump is a western romance where he is an upholsterer (???) (I’m sorry, insanely niche job for 2026) and she is a failing photographer who just moved home to try to find herself. Oh and also she can see ghosts and they’re roommates. Maybe that’s exactly what I need rn

I’m enjoying reading and listening to this but I also feel like my body is one chapter away from fight or flight

He’s the general manager at the chilis on 3rd Ave and her mom thinks he’s out of her league???
