Tia is valid in all she is going through. However, it is important to note the change in abuse as she converts from Calvinism to IBLP. IBLP is not Christianity (sorry not sorry). Her experience with her first church and their social factors set her up to be okay with IBLP’s sexism and abuse, but I felt the need to highlight the differences here.

Once again I am glad that I read The Assassin’s Blade first. All her little moments talking about her past vaguely would have driven me nuts.

I understand how this would work as a standalone book, but I am so glad to have read The Assassin’s Blade first. At this time, I am struggling to see how this could turn into such a long series.
