I could not put the book down. I cannot remember a book that made me interested, invested, and immersed in the story and character so quickly.
I think Sally Hepworth creates a wonderful portrait of the pain of navigating the pursuit of acceptance and self worth. Having been in a controlling relationship and the target of collective generalized fear…it struck home.
