The main character’s development and learning over time is satisfying. As you progress with through the tale, themes of familial rejection, ‘found family’ and self acceptance follow are woven through most characters’ lives.

I’m not loving this. The main character doesn’t appear to be well researched. She experienced a trauma as a child, but the understanding of how that would affect her personality and actions later on in life is under developed in my opinion. Her character development feels shallow. Not sure if I’ll finish this book.

This book is fast paced and a touch scary at times. Couldn’t put it down.
