I’ve never read an Abby Jimenez book, but I really love her style already :)

Weird, can’t tell if it’s good or bad yet, I think I have to read it all as a piece of work to get it

This is just some good old fashioned cheesy Ali Hazlewood goodness right here. It’s not as nuanced as her usual work, and very much fitting the formula. But what can I say, it still makes me giggle and kick my feet.

I can already tell Rebecca took her damn time with this one. I fear I will be crying and screaming through out and I’m excited? Fearful? Everything.

Ali creates tension soooooo good. I can already tell this bitch is yearning and I’m eating it up. I didn’t live the first like chapter and a half, but after that I really dug in. This is different from Ali’s other books, but I still hear her voice and I’m liking it!

I’m listening to the audio book, and the two voice actresses are great. This is such an interesting read so far and I like the way they sprinkle in bits of world building instead of info dumping.

I think this was a pretty good debut. I liked Not another love song more, and I wished Elliot and Ama would have had more yearning/almost kissing moments in the present. But it did warm my heart and I liked it!

This thing is addictive. Julie Soto has a way of writing that just absorbs me. It’s very Ali Hazlewood coded, I think it’s a bit less nuanced, but I’m having fun :)

I LOOOOVE the scene where Violet almost kills Cat. It’s so raw and really captures what can be women fighting with one another. We’re in the home stretch, I bet I’ll finish this bad boy tomorrow. Huzzah!

I love this book, I am so happy to be reading it again. I’m snowed in for the next few days, so I get to lock in and finish this before Onyx Storm comes out! Yay!
