The book describes the small detail that can eventually change your life down the road if implemented daily.

It is a good insight into his life and how he felt during his journey through work.

Book was good. I feel like this is something you need to read and take a bit from. Then move on to read another leadership book. Skills like empathy and patience when you consider yourself on the way to being a leader are not easily gained.
Good examples and stories to put the point across. A lot of people from a military backgrounds. A few CEOs and their ways of implementing change.

So far the book is very insightful. I’m brown skinned and of Asian decent albeit mixed, you wouldn’t know that until speaking to me.
Some of the niche racist remarks by the people much older than Akala were incredibly hurtful. Especially when as an adult you realise how profound and impact words and statements can have on another persons life. He was just a kid! So far the book resonates with me.
