So grotesque trigger warning if you are sensitive to cannibalism, vomit, overall disgusting imagery and rape. This book seems to be utilizing such graphic imagery for shock value because the point has already been made. Every time I read it I have to stop because it becomes so disgusting. As someone who read the Canterbury Tales I feel like this book isn’t very medieval—could have been more developed.
