Just finished chapter 8 which was a speech she gave in Chicago on the correlation of feminism and abolition. She talks about defining who fits under the umbrella of feminism and the need to redefine it to include trans women and poc, and of the dangers and exclusions they face. Draws a clear connection between abolition and feminism, you can’t have one without the other. One of my favorites from this so far.

Sooooo informative and very easily digestible. Love her message of capitalist individualism and the idolization of activist leaders as opposed to the organizations themselves. Published a decade ago and yet ever presently relevant. Can’t wait to finish this one but been taking it slow to fully absorb everything.

God this book should be mandatory to read, so relevant, so packed with knowledge and facts. Jason Stanley is unbiased and well read, and has left me with a list of more authors and activist to study. Taking my time finishing this one though as there is just so much to absorb!!
