still making my way through this... going to take me a while lol. but why is augustine sooo relatable???

so far, very interesting read. read this one this 2 of my small group leaders and some other girls from my church and it was such a great book to discuss. we did not finish it as group, but hoping to finish it on my own. i don't think i agree with everything but really appreciate being push to think about things i normally don't. anything that pushes me to think more about my Creator is a blessing to me.

Never finished it because I went and saw the movie before I was done and then I already knew what happened. But I liked it! Not as good as the og books, but entertaining.

A little over half way done and wow this book is changing my life. The holiness of God is something I feel like our generation has suppressed. We only want to consider certain attributes of God, ones that we like. We even try and redefine those attributes. This book reminds us that God is transcendent and every part of Him is holy, above all and perfect. Even the slightest sin is offensive and deserves death.
