The book is currently discussing Galen’s anatomy study, that was used as the main source of anatomical knowledge in medical schools for 200 years, despite Galen’s writings being based on animal anatomy and comparisons to people and plants because Galen couldn’t cut open corpses for examination.

nihilists and cynics irritate me the most. out of all people, it is them i find the most selfish. aware of the cruelty of the world but believe there’s no saving it and to give up all hope. a selfish mindset that serves no one and does nothing
