Geez, Sophie is still fun, but Howl is pathetic.

I loved Miyazaki’s adaptation, but I’m really taken with the original, it’s fun and surprisingly refreshing.
Book-Sophie has way more bite. She’s still sweet, but she’s also stubborn, chaotic, and basically fed up with everything - and it’s hilarious. The book has such a different vibe because of her.

Damn, the writing is fire 🔥

Honestly, I wish Julia actually worked for the Thought Police so we could skip the unbearably dull romance, at least her snitching would spice things up.

I'll try to read at least a chapter a day. Winston gets sidetracked a lot in his thoughts, so I can't really get into it.
