my academic background means i have a fair exposure to homer but i unfortunately deprived myself of the chance to read it in original greek…i am mostly interested in how time and space works in homeric poetry..any space is often a metaphor for an Idyllic Place outside of time…so, ive been wanting to read wilson’s translation for this reason, and yes, good time to indulge when im bout to be seated in theater

I didn’t think otessa moshfegh was as amazing as the hype around my year of rest and relaxation when I read it but I really liked homesick for another world so I decided to read this one and it is a slay. I’m wondering if all the grotesque putridity will actually serve any moral purpose at this point or if it’s just disgust for the sake of it but I’m really interested in the story!!!
