i went into a deep dive about this book because it’s my second time reading and truly has changed the second time reading. i saw someone describe it as “no plot, all vibes” and honestly that’s the perfect description. i honestly love this book for showing not perfectly good or bad characters. it shows people being people and the ways not everyone is good or bad.

loving this book so far. it’s interesting how each characters mind works, especially involving grief and loss. with the added layer of rich vs. poor making it such an complicated dynamic. so far, i love Dewey Dell because of her complicated mindset. in all, she is just a girl who grieving her mother but also transitioning to a woman, all while carrying a child.
