Of course the FMC's "defect" shouldn't affect either her health or her beauty. Reading about a bunch of adults being horrified because her eyes have different colors is a little silly. I think it takes away from the seriousness of the topic. Makes it look more like a clique of high school bullies than a heavily controlled oppresive society

The second half of the book feels like a completely different story. I feel like we completely forgot that the FMC is supposed to have amnesia. White savourism and the MMC being a bit of doormat for the FMC also don;t help.

Everybody and their mother was asking her where she had been since day 1, yet nobody bothered to cook up a solid legend for her. The council asks her the same damn question which everyone knew they were going to ask, and the best she can do is to make a surprised Pikachu face and blurt out the truth?

Okay, do we really need to be introduced to every random guy Vega knows in the muggle world? I'd prefer we moved to the fantasy plot faster.

And of course, the guy(his name is literally Guy) who hates Cora's power has to be a raging sexist. I don't know, seems a little bit too on the nose.

chapter 27was a real struggle. Cora is being painfully stupid, she literally had one job - to play piano and refrain from alcohol and drugs, and guess what she's doing?
Furthermore, confronting her brother's murderer, she has time to lament that she's not as pretty as another woman. Seriously, now? Is that really important now?

Interesting. Like that it's set in the 1920s. Nothing against the usual vaguely medieval setting, but that's refreshing. The magic system seems fun. Also like that the FMC is necromancer. Love the FMC who are not all healing, nurturing and sunshiney
