You know that feeling when you’re reading a book and you just want to yell at a character to get over theirselves, or stop lying to themselves? I’ve felt that so much during this book. I mean, what the hell Aidan. Lucy has been relatively reasonable the whole book but Aidan, good god man, stop being so obtuse.

I wanted to like this book, but I’m finding it sooo boring. As others have said, it kind of reads like a textbook and I feel like I should be taking notes. Doesn’t feel immersive or captivating and I don’t think it’s for me.

This book has me in tears. The best kind. Tilly discovering what it feels like to have people that believe in her and see her for her is truly heartwarming. As a woman with ADHD there is a lot I can relate to in this story.

I love a good fantasy with some romance and spice, and this was that. I can agree with what some others said that maybe parts were a bit rushed, but nothing excessive. I was pretty invested throughout, and the ending certainly has left me eagerly awaiting the next one, but also, goddamn the ending will not leave you feeling good.
