Arnold Osborn is finished with No Tomorrow (Victor the Assassin, #4)
Good, mindless, storytelling... Exactly what I was hoping for when I started this series. Being a person who needs 3 or 4 books active at a time to help my attention span this was the right book for the right time.
There is no question that many will find this type or writing or storytelling vapid or action thriller template writing but I found the story to be compelling, consistent to the character and mind-numbing

It is not the easiest read... since every chapter jumps from the main story teller then to the Diary of the missing wife.

In the beginning you start to say to yourself... I don't care if he killed his wife or not, just bury her and burn that damn diary...
By 40% of the way through it takes a turn that piques your interest and cause you to linger... and it just keeps getting better...

I was surprised by the book and what it actually is as opposed to what I thought that I was going to be reading.

To Mr. L Todd Wood and any of his readers I am sorry that this got pushed to the back of stack. I seem to be on reading path that has derailed me from some of my interests. This is not a reflection of your work but more of my ADD.
I will return and give your book the respect and opinion it deserves.

a little jumpy in the move forward time frame. the book covers a great deal of time. When it slows down and goes into detail, it is well written.

the pages keep turning and the story keeps taking on a new facet. I am learning a side to the Afgahn people that I would have missed not seeing it through the eyes of a seriously injured Navy SEAL.

The intensity of the story has increased as has the story telling and I am not sad that I have chosen this book.

but, the begining of the book is a bit harsh in the language department.
I am just about to hit the half-way point of the book and it seems to be turning the corner and it is starting to get and keep my attention.
I will keep everyone informed as to where it goes from here.

I looked forward to reading this book and I always enjoy hearing Marcus Lutrell speak. But, the begining of this book was not doing IT for me. I don't know exactly what it was but it was missing the mark for me.
I am a former US Navy Petty Officer so I am no saint and my language can be a bit salty and I am not easily offended...

Being a veteran of the US Navy and having proudly served our country I cannot begin to share the feelings that this books has stirred within me about the job our service men and women do on a daily basis.
Semper Fi Marine.
God Bless You all...

I do not imagine that I will read a better or more heart wrenching book in 2014 then this one.

Had the opportunity to watch an interview with this unique Marine. Listened to his views and some of his life's story and decided this would be a good book for me to read.
I am 30% of the way in and I am no disappointed at all.
