This is where I have an issue with these rushed ass romance books.

He just spent the past two chapters telling her that she was his and he wanted to show the world that and he wants all of these things with her and FMC is practically down. But now we’re gonna call it “casual” again?? Like please choose a lane and stick with it!

Okay so I don’t mind that they’re hot for each other. My issue is foundational. Like we jumped so quick from him hating her and calling her a bitch to dragging her into a bathroom at a club and it’s hot don’t get me wrong it’s just also lacking for me a little. Like I wish we had more depth on their interactions turning to attraction.

Okay so this is the tenth book by Cassandra Clare that I’m reading and the amount of representation in these books is insane. The diversity of including LGBTQ in not one but four different characters with different sexualities is amazing. Then in the prologue we meet a very clearly neurodiverse character of this book. Not to mention the undertones of “purebred” and how the main characters hate the segregation!

HE IS TOXIC. SHE IS TOXIC. Honestly love bombing, gaslighting, and manipulation all in one book. “*scoffing.* And rolls his eyes and he says “whatever”” and his perspective is “I’m an asshole.. I couldn’t control it.” Literally what is this? Trauma? Triggering.. LW!!

“I’m superstitious… so we shouldn’t be doing this” 🙃 this girl is so immature and the fact that she’s a psych major really just is the call from coming inside the house 😅

The insta love is so nauseating 😐😐

If I DNF’d books this would be DNF’d rn. I thought I signed up for a dark romance, not a political fiction. Lauren is so whiny. Junior just doesn’t give me any sort of Dom. Such a disappointing read.
