Contrary to most of the fiction I've read this year here is an author who found his voice and is confident using it.

This is my second Brandon book and it already seems like it will be more my vibe than the other one I read (frugal wizards) but apparently he wrote them at the same time..

I finally made it to the more hopeful chapters... but lowkey a few chapters there were stressing me out... whoops

yes it's meandering but until i arrive at the inevitably unsatisfying conclusion i'll enjoy the wandering.

I guess its hard to keep the huzz when you gotta move every three days or you die... But hey at least the scary voice in your head and your magic eight ball show you cool libraries?

The title is misleading cause I'm halfway through the book and her walk has already been 30 years long... I went for a short walk this evening that was 30 minutes... Someone should've explained the difference to Doug.

side note - can authors stop putting uneccessary jump scare sex scenes in their books?? i miss the era when "adult fiction" meant literary writing and thematic depth

this might end up being the first good fiction of the year

Yall I can only read this in small chunks cause the call out is too much...

Uhhh so I'm like 20 pages in and have already been called out in twenty different languages... I fear this book will demand a response
