Okay, I think I’m slowly getting it now 😅

Uhm, so… I’m really taken aback 😅 like, I haven’t the foggiest what is going on right now 😂 I had to go back and ready the blurb a few times to confirm I’m actually reading the book I thought I bought (spoiler alert: I really truly am 😂😂😂).

Anyway. Imma trust the process 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’m reminded just how much I love this book, and how exceptionally well written it is.

It’s literally both a script and a novel! We really do have to work thrice as hard to get half as far…

I am having a REALLY good time with this book! Went into it semi-blind (i.e. I couldn’t remember the synopsis 😅) and honestly Aneva espedidit.

Still have a ways to go but it’s def panning out to be a memorable read, for SURE. 👌

I’m at that point in a book when you just need to “woosah” and take a break because ha.a sana, kuningi 😫🙆🏾‍♀️

Didn’t think it possible but my aversion to Catherine increases with every word I read. I find myself rolling my eyes every time she opens her mouth, bruh. She genuinely is abhorrent. I am NOT rooting for her.

I’m sorry, Catherine Linton (née Earnshaw) is so. Freaking. Intolerable 😩 At this juncture, she’s very much giving Daisy Buchanan energy and I just—I can’t 🫠💀

I’m going into this read completely blind… okay, dramatic much, lol! Although I’ve heard about Wuthering Heights, I know veryyyy little about the book, the plot… damn even the author! Deadass thought it was Jane Austen, bruh—was SO confused by the writing style 😅

Now that I know this isn’t ausi Jane 👀… it’ll be easier for me to keep reading what’s in front of me and not what I ‘expect’

Chile, this is a HARD READ! I am quite literally weeping real, grown, thug tears 😭 But I value each careful word written and story told. There are so many unnamed black children whose stories echo the injustices of the characters and haints in this novel.

I think one of the most important takeaways from this story is to remember those who’ve passed unjustly. To say their names and tell their story.

Will there be time travel? Were the acts done by the same person? Are there true mythical beings that will deus ex machina the ending?

But what I do know is I want to have finished the book by tomorrow 🥹✊🏾

I have so many questions and theories and hypotheses.

I still have hundreds of pages to read 🥹 and I’m pushing through… but I really SBWL to skim through certain sections until the cases are solved and figure out WHY there’s even the 1670’s plot line to begin with 😭

Hopefully I can have time this weekend to somma speed through the rest because the anticipation is killing me 💀
