1st ch. Bella grounded, charlie upset, edward can visit. Charlie decides probation but wants bella to "remember her other friends." Jacob won't be friends with Bella bc of Edward and fam. Edward is making Bella apply to every college. Edward won't let Bella try to see Jacob. Edward deeply regrets ever leaving Bella. Anticipating Bella being turned.

Main idea: romanticization of people and shit, relationships can be entirely different and still superficial. Superficial relationships come in many many forms, even ones that may seem romantic.
