When the first chapter is dedicated to someone's love of Creed and a later chapter is about The Sims... I can't not be immediately in love with this book.

First time reading any kind of political book, but it's got its hooks in me.

It's not making me more proud to be English though, more sad about what a truly united kingdom could look like if England's neighbouring cultures were absorbed rather than usurped.

Chapter 3 feels like the author wrote 100 pages and was told to scrap them for the sake of length, so instead we're getting a massive recap from another character which includes character development? Seems REALLY odd after an astonishing first 70 pages of the book with another character.

These books are at their best when it's dialogue between two characters and so far this book hasn't been any more than that and it's absolutely brilliant.

Already invested, which is lucky because this is the longest of all of this series so far!

This book has started amazingly strong.
