…Huh, I’m almost glad I went into this blind because even with the few expectations I had, this has gone in a completely different direction

Really did not foresee that starting a new job, the Super Bowl, and the Winter Olympics would hinder my reading plans this much

I found the book!

So freaking cute so far like why did I put off reading this for so long

I had to pause to go read The Fall of the House of Usher so I knew the source material and in the process have unfortunately misplaced the book…

Despite picking this up thinking this was going to be a historical fiction murder mystery with a story detailing an imagined friendship or adversarial type competitiveness between Holmes and Burnham during each of their contemporaneous reigns over Chicago, I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.
