Gotta get a move on if I want to reach my reading goal!

Getting a little sad.

I was supposed to collage and hike today.

Don’t know if I’m going to be able to get through this. Religion is for thickos and these characters are insufferable.

I wasn’t going to start this today but Mummy lent it to me and the size and space of the font makes me think I could finish in a day. So here we go, plans for tomorrow sorted!

Weird but good. As per from Otessa.

Classic man. Ruining things by being a man then having regrets.

So he’s horrible and only thinks of himself and listens to rumours of other men but not his wife (naturally, like all men are and do) and she’s the daughter of a slave owner who got their slaves taken away because it’s fucked up. She’s a wet wipe but she doesn’t deserve his horribleness really.

I feel like I’m missing some bits though and it seems like there’s more to the story that I’ve lost.

Two pages into part two and I didn’t like him. But now I’m questioning it. “All benevolent. All slaveowners. All resting in peace”, perhaps he does not like her because of her past. And perhaps he has his own qualms that are not to do with untrue rumours. We CHALL SEE.

Ahhh only 6 more pages I can’t finish I’m so nervous.

Getting good. The main character is utterly (intentionally, I am sure) unlikeable.

So close to getting back on target.

Good but inconsistent or at least unexplainative of random changes in character countenance.

Starting to see inconsistencies in the story. If Grenuille is missing certain intrinsic characteristics which would allow him to do something then how can he do it as a story decide when previously he couldn’t as a story decile?

Mooey keeps giving me these lesbian books.

More than half way. Hoping to finish it by the end of the day.
