LOVE this series.

Finally rounding out the Trilogy! I don't know why it has taken me so long to get here, I loved the other books. Planning to move on to Gleanings next, and then RISING THUNDER!

I am really enjoying this so far. a 1990s Irish fae plague? yes please.

Am I horrified? Yes. Am I going to read this all in one sitting ---I also feel like yes.

I kind of nothing this book, I am not blown away, but I am also not disliking it. Its a solid mid 3 stars I think, not that it's /bad/ I just....[non-committal gesture]

Mila's mom is giving Mother Gothel in all the worst ways possible.

I am going to give this until 25% to see if it sticks, but right now it just feels way to immature for me. --or more accurately, I am too old for this.

It's just that people don't actually think this way, unless they have hardcore main character syndrome and it feels like a cringe tiktok. This is my first Elle Kennedy book, after having watched the first season of the show and the inner monologues always going out of their way to be so "hockey" is KILLING me.

One thing that always immediately pulls me out of novels like this is the over spoon feeding that happens around some characters. Like, we KNOW that Logan is a hockey player. He doesn't need to relate EVERYTHING back to that in some hyperbolic way. i.e. "I wanted to stab him with my skate and twist." In a hypothetical moment where normal people would default to a knife. "Her hand stuck to my arm like hockey tape.

I’m not even that far along in this book yet and it is deeply unsettling. I love it
