Even though I've already read this book (and not all that long ago), I am still enjoying it so thoroughly! The dry wit and snappy prose are just delectable. And the mystery!! 🔥🔥🔥

Oof, this is a very religious first several percent 😅

I loved this at the start, but am getting bored and having a hard time finishing. I'm not sure if it's me or the book because I LOVED Delilah but hated Astrid...so maybe this one is just somewhere in the middle?
I am resolved to finish it still, but 🤔 so many other things to read and write...

This book is perfection. Hav is my spirit animal.
Seriously, if you want a great queer romantic comedy for the holidays, this is a great pick! Especially the audiobook - the audiobook is like a Lori Prince+Robin Alexander kind of deal; totally heightens the experience!

After a few minutes, I'm sure I'm not going to like this 😅 for both the writing and the narration...buuuuut I'm going to give it a fair shake.

Pre-requisite: first play God of War and God of War: Ragnarok (I'd have been lost without them 😅)

I have hope that this will get better, but so far, these characters feel so similar that I'm frequently confused as to who's who (and why I should care 😅)

Now that I've read most of her other works twice, I'm so stoked to read a new one! (I cannot find an emoji to properly convey my excitement rn 😩)

Idk if it's just the narration, but why isn't this tagged comedy as well? So far, this is kind of hilarious (or maybe I should question my sanity? 🤔 )

I'm not even being dramatic when I say that I'm about ready to quit this book solely because of the ridiculous overuse of "the blonde" and "the brunette"...Please just use their names and pronouns. I don't even know if I like these characters because those descriptors are so distracting!

Admittedly, I'm not loving it so far. I think that's largely down to the writing style; third person present tense is a hard one to pull off well imo. There's also a lot of tell and not so much show so far, which I'm never a fan of.
I remain hopeful that it will win me over yet (or at least reach a 4-star rating rather than the 3 it's currently holding)
(Also, so many unexplained acronyms!)
