Almost thirty percent in and this man has zero redeeming qualities. But also Elena has no personality and has no self respect so maybe they deserve each other

If Elena was competing against a rug in a “lets people walk all over them” competition I fear she would win

Okay so far I am enchanted by this book. The prose is beautiful, the story, while slow to start, is captivating, and every character is sweet as the jam Kiela is making. This book makes me feel the way I do when I watch Kiki’s Delivery Service. It makes me believe in the inherent kindness of others.
Not to get sappy or anything.

I love Abby Jimenez but I’ve already mentally knocked off half a star for the words “alpha male vampire”. That said, I will read anything this woman writes and love it in the end
